Whatever is done in Marawi must have the input, support, and acceptance of the people of the city.

Hiroshima & Nagasaki in Japan & Berlin in Germany. Warsaw in Poland. These cities rose from the ashes of the War. My initial interim recommendations are:

1. Leave the Ruins as a memorial for the victims of terrorism, a remembrance of how a peaceful city was destroyed by Terrorists.

2. Limited rehabilitation rebuilding of landmarks like places of worship education healthcare heritage

3. Residents are Restless to go back but it's dangerous, if the are allowed to rebuild, follow the building code like setbacks no building over sidewalks drainage systems etc.

4. Residents retain ownership of their land but following a land use plan more touristic better architecture and engineering .

5. Plan Design Develop Build new cities near Marawi

6. Masterplanned waterfront new cities around Beautiful Lanao Lake.

7. The new Marawi City must be planned, designed, developed, built better safer sustainable more resilient walkable bikeable environment friendly with modern transport underground utilities, an International Islamic Interfaith Inclusive gateway city.

8. With PRRD strong political will and visionary leadership , we can do it with good planning, good design and good governance.

9. People involved in the planning design development building management must not be integrity-challenged, and not intellectually challenged.

10. Social acceptance & approval of the President.

Thank you for the opportunity to plan a city of the future.
