MORE PLOTS EXPECTED

AFP spokesman Gen. Padilla confirmed armed groups are planning to oust President Duterte. Which armed groups? My guess are the NPAs and the terrorist group. This is hardly surprising. The ISIS-Mautes have lost heavily in Marawi and the NPAs don't like martial law. Risa Hontiveros praised Joma Sison as a hero.

The latest SWS survey shows a sharp drop in the president's rating. I'm willing to concede the possibility of a drop because of Trillanes fake stories about Duterte's hidden wealth and complicity of his family in shabu smuggling - there will always be some gullible people - but a drop of 11 points? I find that hard to believe. What makes me suspicious is it coincides with the destabilization moves of the Opposition against the president.

As I keep saying, destabilization will continue. The Opposition won't stop until it has toppled Duterte. As I said before, all forces against change have united against the president. Their plan, as I had warned, is to dent his popularity. Once the Opposition has dented it, they will move for the final kill.

The Opposition is a noisy minority, noisy enough to make foreign investors worry about the political mess in the country. Again, as I keep repeating, the only way to stop the nonsense is for the people to grant Duterte rev powers.
